Queen's Men's Rugby open OUA Playoffs with big win over McMaster

| By:

Queen's Men's Rugby put on a clinic Sunday, overpowering the McMaster Marauders 106–0 in their playoff match up.

The Gaels wasted no time asserting control, with Noah Gittens (Kinesiology) opening the scoring just minutes into the match to set the tone early. From there, Queen's kept their foot on the gas, dictating play through relentless phases and crisp ball movement.

Marcus D'Acre had another standout performance, steering the attack and nailing 13 conversions to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Try-scorers for the Gaels included Noah Gittens (Kinesiology) with three tries; Tao Nichol (Applied Science), Noah Merkur (Kinesiology), Owen Lee (Commerce), and Adam Stander with two each; and Benjamin Falkner (Arts & Science), Coen Quinn (Applied Science), Jackson Palmer, and Gabriel Ricci with one each.

It was a full-team effort from start to finish as the Gaels dominated both sides of the ball and continued their playoff push with authority.

Catch the Gaels back in action as they advance to the OUA semifinals! The game is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st, with the opponent and kickoff time to be announced.
