Queen's Men's Hockey fell 5-1 to the McGill Redbirds Saturday night in Blainville, Quebec.
The Gaels opened the scoring in the first period, when
Liam Tanner (Kinesiology) found the back of the net on a goal assisted by
Holden Katzalay (Computing) and
Owen Lalonde (Geography/French). But McGill would even the score before the period was out and take a one-goal lead in the second period.
The Redbirds ran away with the game in the third period, scoring three goals on their way to the four-goal victory.
With the loss, the Gaels' record fell to 16-4-0-0 on the season. Queen's will look to bounce back in the second half of their weekend road trip, with the Gaels visiting the Concordia Stingers Sunday at 2 p.m.
