Queen's Women's Basketball swept their weekend road trip with a 54-46 win over the Windsor Lancers Saturday in Windsor, Ont.

The Gaels held the Lancers to the fourth lowest point total from their opponents all season for the eight-point win. Queen's held Windsor to just 24 per cent shooting from the floor and one three-pointer, and kept the Lancers' starters to just 18 points combined.

Bridget Mulholland (Kingston, Ont.) led the Gaels offensively, finishing with a game-high 19 points while also grabbing six rebounds.

Emma Weltz (Timmins, Ont.) added 13 points while Julia Chadwick (Ottawa, Ont.) fell just shy of a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

With the victory, Queen's sixth in a row, the Gaels improved their record to 15-2 to keep pace atop the OUA East Division standings. 

Queen's is back home at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) next weekend, hosting the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday, Feb. 2, and Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, Feb. 3 in their Shoot for the Cure game. Tickets for both games can be purchased on the Queen's Gaels Tickets website.
