KINGSTON, Ont. (Sept. 29, 2023) - Queen's Rowing alumna
Shaye de Paiva was named to Canada's Rowing team for the upcoming Pan American Games.
de Paiva (Calgary, Alta.) was one of 16 athletes nominated to compete at the Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games, Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) announced earlier this week.
de Paiva will be competing in the double, quad, and Women's eight events at the Pan Am Games.
Rowing Canada qualified 10 boats for the competition, with de Paiva earning a spot as one of the 16 athletes to make the team based on performance during a selection camp held at the Rowing Canada Aviron National Training Centre earlier this month.
The 2023 Pan Am Games will take place from October 20 to November 5 in Santiago, Chile.
