KINGSTON, Ont. (May 11, 2023) - Queen's Men's Basketball's Cole Syllas has signed with the Ottawa Blackjacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).

Syllas (Kingston, Ont.) will join the team ahead of their season opener later this month.

The guard is coming off a terrific 2022-23 season with Queen's Men's Basketball, helping the Gaels earn the program's best record in more than 50 years and second straight appearance at the U SPORTS Men's Basketball Final 8 Championship. Syllas was named a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian, the first in Queen's Men's Basketball program history, and an OUA First Team All-Star, after averaging 17.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, and five assists per game.

The fourth year player, who now sits in the Top 10 in program history in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals, was also named the Jenkins Trophy winner as Queen's Varsity Teams Male Athlete of the Year.
