Gaels fall to Guelph in OUA Championship, finish as conference silver medalists

Queen's Men's Rugby finished the season with a silver medal after falling to the Guelphg Gryphons 38-22 in the OUA Championship game Thursday night in Guelph, Ont.

The Gaels opened the scoring when James Webb (Toronto, Ont.) was good on a penalty goal to give Queen's a 3-0 lead.

The Gryphons would score the next four tries to build a 28-3 lead, and one they would not relinquish.

Queen's scored three tries down the stretch, but the comeback effort ultimately fell short, falling to Guelph by 16 points.

Ben Greenstein (Vancouver, B.C.), Webb, and Dan Svoboda (Whitby, Ont.) scored the tries for Queen's.
