Queen's Women's Volleyball opened their season with a straight sets win over the RMC Paladins Friday night at RMC, defeating the Paladins 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18).

Aimee Lemire (Paris, Ont.) led the Gaels offensively, finishing with nine kills in the win, while Amanda Siksna (Markham, Ont.) recorded seven kills and Mary Stewart (Uxbridge, Ont.) added six kills.

Stewart added a game-high three blocks in the win while Shea Baker (Vancouver, B.C.) led all players with 18 assists.

Queen's is back on the court Saturday, rounding out their season-opening series with the Paladins at 6 p.m.
