Queen's Women's Soccer dropped their first game of the season, losing 2-1 to the host Nipissing Lakers in their regular season finale Sunday in North Bay, Ont.

The first half nearly went scoreless, until the Gaels' Vita Naihin (Markham, Ont.) found the back of the net to open the scoring and give Queen's a one-goal lead at half time.

The Lakers would score two unanswered goals in the second half, scoring in the 62nd and 80th minute, for the 2-1 comeback win.

With the loss, the Gaels finished the regular season with a 10-1-1 record, second in the OUA East standings with 31 points. 

Queen's earned a bye into the second round of the OUA Playoffs, and will host the second round matchup next weekend at Richardson Stadium.
