Queen's Men's Hockey defeated the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 4-1 Sunday afternoon in Oshawa, Ont. to earn a split of their weekend home-and-home series with the Ridgebacks.
The Gaels (No. 5) rebounded from their 4-1 loss to Ontario Tech Friday night at the Memorial Centre to improve their record to 9-2-0. The Ridgebacks are 5-4-1 after Sunday's loss.
After Andrew Suriyuth opened the scoring for Ontario Tech midway through the first period with a power play marker, Queen's scored four unanswered goals to earn the three-goal victory.
Owen Lalonde (Windsor, Ont.) evened the score for Queen's early in the second period on a goal assisted by
Ben Fanjoy (Ottawa, Ont.) and William Sirman (Aurora, Ont.) before
Matthew Needham (Penticton, Ont.) scored back-to-back goals for the Gaels. Fanjoy earned his second assist of the game on Needham's first marker and
Thomas Stevenson (Ottawa, Ont.) assisted on both.
Duncan Campbell (Brandon, Man.) rounded out the scoring for Queen's late in the third period with a goal assisted by Needham and
Ryan Cranford (Embrun, Ont.).
Jonathan Yantsis (Markham, Ont.) also recorded an assist for the Gaels in the win.

Queen's is back in action with a midweek game, visiting the cross-town rival RMC Paladins on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
