Queen's Men's Volleyball opened the second half of their regular season with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-20, 25-16) win over the Trent Excalibur Friday night in Peterborough, Ont. With the win, the Gaels (No. 5) improved their record to 5-0 on the season, and kept pace atop the OUA East Division. Trent's record fell to 0-7 with the loss.
Lachlan McBride (Vancouver, B.C.) and
Erik Siksna (Markham, Ont.) led Queen's with a game-high seven kills each, while
Liam Wilson (Toronto, Ont.) added 12 aces. Wilson also had a game-high 25 assists for the Gaels in the win.
The Gaels return to action Sunday at 4 p.m. in Toronto, Ont. against the Varsity Blues (No. 5). Queen's defeated Toronto (4-1) earlier this season, the Varsity Blues' lone loss of the season so far.
