KINGSTON, Ont. (Dec. 3, 2022) - Queen's Women's Hockey closed out the first half of their regular season with a 3-2 overtime loss to the TMU Bold Saturday at the Memorial Centre.
Two goals in the third period gave the Gaels a 2-1 lead late in the game, but the Bold would find a late equalizer before netting the winner four minutes into overtime.
TMU opened the scoring in the second period before back-to-back goals from
Sara Di Filippo and
Sarah Campbell gave Queen's a one-goal lead.
Sophie Hudson and
Quinn Johnston recorded assists for the Gaels on the goals.
Lexi Giorgi made 11 saves for Queen's while the Gaels managed 25 shots on net in the loss.
With the overtime loss, Queen's record dropped to 2-5-4-3. The Gaels sit in fifth place in the OUA East standings with 17 points heading into the winter break.
