KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 27, 2022) - Queen's Women's Hockey fell to the Nipissing Lakers 4-3 on Sunday at the Memorial Centre in their second overtime game of the weekend.

Queen's opened the scoring early with two goals coming in the fourth and fifth minutes from
Rebecca Thompson and
Sophie Hudson. The Lakers retaliated in the ninth minute to make it 2-1. Scout Watkins-Southward added one more goal in the first period to give the Gaels a 3-1 lead heading into the second. It was a quiet second period with no goals being scored on either end.

Nipissing added two more goals in the third period to tie the game and head into another overtime period. This time, the Lakers were able to get one behind the goalie in the third minute of overtime, giving them the win.

The Gaels record now stands at 2-4-4-1. Queen's will return to the ice December 2 as they head down to Toronto, Ont. to play TMU at 6 p.m.. The game will also be available to stream at oua.tv.
