KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 11, 2022) - Queen's Men's Hockey were edged 3-2 by the McGill Redbirds Friday at the Memorial Centre.
The game was deadlocked 1-1 through two periods before the Redbirds found the back of the net to take a 3-1 lead.
The Gaels would get one back late but it wasn't enough as McGill held on for the one-goal win.
Trevor Longo and
Holden Katzalay scored for Queen's in the loss.
Jonathan Yantsis,
Hayden Fowler, and
Alex Robert recorded assists for the Gaels.
Luke Richardson made 25 saves for the Gaels. With the loss, Queen's record fell to 4-5-1. The Gaels return to the ice next weekend with a road trip to Ottawa, taking on the Carleton Ravens on Friday, Nov. 18 and the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday, Nov. 19.
