Queen's Men's Hockey fell to the McGill Redbirds 6-2 Saturday night in Montreal, Que.
The host Redbirds opened the scoring with two goals in the first period and a third in the second period to take a 3-0 lead.
The Gaels got on the board with two quick goals midway through the second period.
Alex Robert found the back of the net on a goal assisted by
Hayden Fowler and
Owen Lalonde at 8:46 of the second period before
Nolan Hutcheson scored less than two minutes with assists from
Jakob Brahaney and
Holden Katzalay.
McGill would respond with two more goals to close out the second period to make it 5-2 heading into the final frame, where they would add a sixth on their way to a four-goal victory.
With the loss, Queen's record fell to 1-5 on the season. The Gaels return home to take on the RMC Paladins on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Centre.
