Queen's Men's Soccer tied the Trent Excalibur 1-1 Saturday night in Peterborough, Ont.

The Gaels opened the scoring in the 31st minute when Pable Hempelmann-Perez (Toronto, Ont.) found the back of the net on a goal assisted by Andrea Gortana (Vaughan, Ont.).

Queen's carried the one-goal lead into the second half and held it until the 85th minute when Trent scored the equalizer.

With the draw, the Gaels are now unbeaten in their last three and have a 3-5-2 record. They sit sixth in the OUA East standings, four points ahead of Trent, who are 1-5-4 after the draw.

The Gaels return home to close out the regular season with a doubleheader, hosting the TMU Bold Friday, Oct. 21 and the Laurentian Voyageurs Saturday, Oct. 22 at Richardson Stadium.
