Queen's Men's Rugby beats Guelph in battle of undefeated teams

Queen's Men's Rugby defeated the Guelph Gryphons 29-12 Saturday afternoon in Guelph, Ont. to remain the only undefeated team in the OUA.

Queen's and Guelph went into the game tied atop the OUA standings with identical 4-0 records, with the Gaels improving to 5-0 with the win and the Gryphons dropping to 4-1 with the loss.

Liam Casey (Kuala Lumpur) and Evan Curd (Toronto, Ont.) led the Gaels' offence with two tries each in the win. Dan Svoboda (Whitby, Ont.) added a try and James Webb (Toronto, Ont.) recorded two conversions.

Queen's will be in Waterloo, Ont. next weekend to close out their OUA regular season schedule against the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
