Queen's Women's Rugby will open the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship against the UBC Thunderbirds on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m.

U SPORTS released the bracket for the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship, which begins Wednesday at Nixon Field.

Queen's is welcoming eight of the top university women's rugby teams as hosts the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship from Nov. 10-14.

The tournament will start with Ottawa Gee-Gees taking on the StFX X-Women on Wednesday at 11 a.m., followed by the OUA Champion Guelph Gryphons taking on the Victoria Vikes at 2 p.m. The defending U SPORTS Women's Rugby champions, Laval Rouge et Or, will open their tournament taking on the Acadia Axewomen at 5 p.m. The host Queen's Gaels will round out Wednesday's slate of games, taking on the UBC Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m.

The Gaels lost to Guelph 32-23 in the OUA Championship this past Saturday at Nixon Field.
