Cho, Gray named Gabriel Pizza Athletes of the Week

Jason Cho and Christie Gray have been named the Gabriel Pizza Queen's University Varsity Athletes of the Week for the period ending Oct. 24

Cho (Quispamsis, N.B.) helped lead the offensive effort in a 6-1 win over Queen's Men's Soccer over the RMC Paladins Sunday, Oct. 24 with a hat trick in the first half.

The three goals increased Cho's total to five on the season, which leads the Gaels.

Queen's defeated RMC twice over the weekend to improve their record to 4-2-2. The Gaels will close out the regular season with a home-and-home series against the York Lions. Queen's will play at York on Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. before hosting the Lions at Richardson Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 3:30 p.m.

Gray (Vancouver, BC) also netted a hat trick to help pace the offence for Queen's Women's Soccer in their 5-0 win over the Paladins on Sunday.

Gray's hat trick came in Queen's Women's Soccer's Kick for the Cure game, which she helped lead in the planning. She finished the game with 13 shots (seven on goal) and 16 shots (nine on goal) over the weekend, including Queen's 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Gee-Gees Friday in Ottawa.

With the three goals, Gray (Vancouver, BC) now has eight goals in eight games this season, which leads the Gaels and is second in the OUA.

The Gaels will finish their regular season with two games against the Lions, visiting York on Friday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. and hosting York at Richardson Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m.
