KINGSTON, Ont. (November 25, 2019) - The Queen's Gaels men's and women's squash team participated this past weekend at the second East Sectional of the season in Ottawa.
Men's Squash
The Gaels toughest encounter came against McGill where Queen's prevailed 4-3 to avenge an earlier 5-2 loss at the first sectional. Queen's then went on to beat Ottawa and Carelton by a 7-0 score. With these results, Queen's currently sits in fourth position out of twelve teams in the Jesters team rankings.
Top performers for Queen's this weekend were James Crook, Alex Dorbyk, Liam Knapp and Will Francis who all won the three matches they played.
Women's Squash
This weekend the Queens Women's Squash team participated in a sectional in Ottawa. The team made the Gaels proud by going undefeated against all teams.
Heather McLachlan and Emma Robertson started off the morning with two 3-0 match wins and the rest of the team followed their lead. The entire Gaels roster played well as the women did not lose a match.
