Gaels take down Brock in OUA semifinal, will host OUA Championship next weekend

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (November 2, 2019) - The Queen's Gaels (1-0) had little trouble getting past the Brock Badgers (1-1) in the OUA semifinal on Saturday afternoon with a 61-21 win at Nixon Field.

GAME FLOW
After a strong defensive stand from Stefan Zuliani, the Gaels were able to turn their hard work into points as Zuliani himself finished off a try to put Queen's ahead 7-0 in the early going after a conversion from Dylan Young.

Nearly 10 minutes later it was once again Zuliani who powered past the Brock defence to put down his second try of the afternoon. After Trevor Helgason added a late first-half try the Gaels were in front 21-0 after 40 minutes.

The Queen's lead reached 40-0 before Brock was finally able to score their first points of the afternoon midway through the second half.

In the end, the Gaels proved to be too much for Brock with a 61-21 final.

FINAL SAY
"The result was great, certain parts of the game we played really, really well and it's just punctuated by errors that we need to get out of our game that we just don't need to be in our game. We've talked about it over and over again just how we get rid of those errors and when we play and go through our process we're very, very good." - Head coach Dave Butcher.
