KINGSTON, Ont (November 10, 2019) - The Queen's Gaels swept the Trent Excalibur 3-0 in straight sets on Sunday afternoon in the ARC.
GAME FLOW
The Exaclibur battled hard in the first set making the opening of the match difficult for the Gaels. Queen's managed to pull away in the end to win the opening set 25-20.
The second set was all Queen's as the Gaels attack led by outside hitter
Arielle Palermo outperformed Trent to take the second handedly 25-9. Palermo finished the match with a game-high 11 kills.
Alongside Palermo,
Alexandra Tsiofas' strong defensive efforts were integral to the Gaels victory. The third-year libero had 11 digs to help stifle Trent's attack.
The Gaels put away the match winning the third set 25-16 to defeat Trent in straight sets.
