BOX SCORE SUDBURY, Ont.  (October 4th, 2019) - No. 8 Gaels (1-0-0) open up the season with a 4-1 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs (0-1-0).

GAME FLOW

Shortly after, Alex Row added a quick goal to give the Gaels a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission. The Gaels also led in shots 18-12 throughout the opening period.

The second period slowed down for the Gaels as both teams would go into the locker room after forty minutes scoreless, however the Gaels would continue to lead in shots 28-22 going into the final period.

The Voyageurs attempts at an early third period goal were shattered as Ryan Cranford would score his first OUA goal to give the Gaels a 3-1 lead.
