3-1 win at Laurentian has No.6 Gaels poised for undefeated OUA regular season

SUDBURY, Ont. (October 19, 2019) The No.6 Queen's Gaels (11-0-2) were in Sudbury for their final road trip of the OUA regular season and picked up a 3-1 victory over Laurentian (2-8-3).

GAME FLOW
The Gaels are still on the hunt for the top overall spot in the OUA East but need some help to accomplish the feat. First up was a date with Laurentian in Sudbury.

Knowing they needed a win, the Gaels started off quickly offensively. At both the six and nine-minute marks Jenna Leslie tallied goals for the Gaels and Queen's was quickly ahead 2-0 in the match.

Laurentian was able to cut the deficit in half and through the first 45 minutes, Queen's was ahead 2-1.

In the second half, Maddy Moran got the Gaels the insurance marker they needed in the 81st minute.

Alanna Richardson got the win for the Gaels picking up one save on the afternoon.

Despite being tied for the top spot in the OUA East with the Ottawa Gee-Gees, the Gaels are behind in goal differential and will need either a loss or draw by the Gee-Gees, combined with a win themselves to catch them for the top spot.
