Doggett, Abraham each have two points but Gaels drop 4-3 decision at Concordia

MONTREAL (January 18, 2019) - The No.8 Queen's Gaels (15-5-0) dropped a 4-3 decision to the Concordia Stingers (12-7-1) on Friday night in OUA men's hockey action.

GAME FLOW
The opening period saw the Gaels use the power-play to their advantage. First, it was a point shot from Gaels captain Spencer Abraham that was deflected by Jared Bethune to give the Gaels a 1-0 lead. Just 26 seconds later, Jared Lindo picked up his first goal of the season also on the power-play.

The second period, however, saw the home-side even the score. First, an early goal by Jean-Philippe Beaulieu and then a late power-play tally made it a 2-2 game.

In the final minute of the period, the Gaels were able to reclaim their lead. Liam Dunda put home his fifth of the season at 19:43 and the Gaels took a 3-2 lead to the dressing room after 40 minutes.

The final period mirrored the second for the home side as Zachary Zorn put home an early goal to tie the game at 3-3. Then in the late stages, Philippe Hudon scored to put Concordia ahead.

The Gaels were unable to find an equalizer and fell 4-3. Justin Fazio made 37 saves for the Gaels in the loss.
