KINGSTON, Ont. (September 28, 2018) - The Queen's men's volleyball team took on the Ryerson Rams in exhibition play on Friday night at the Queen's ARC in Kingston. The Gaels made it a 3-0 sweep of Ryerson to pick up their first exhibition win of the season.
The Gaels were led by the duo of
Zac Hutcheson and
Joel Rudd who each had 14 kill performances in the win. Gaels setter
Zane Grossinger finished with 32 assists and
Lukas Kaufman added 12 digs on the defensive end in the victory.
Set scores finished 25-22, 25-23 and 25-22 in what was a close match. Grossinger and Rudd each finished with a pair of aces in the match and the Rams were led by Navreet Suhan who finished with four blocks.
The Gaels are back in action on October 19 when they visit RMC for their final exhibition tune-up.
