Gaels drop opening exhibition game against Montreal

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (September 16, 2018) – The Queen's women's hockey team got their first taste of action in the 2018 campaign. They fell to the Montreal Carabins 2-0 in an exhibition matchup at the INVISTA Centre.

GAME FLOW
It was a low-scoring game as there was no scoring until the second period. Annie Germain scored the lone goal of the period, which turned out to be the game-winner.

In the third period, Kaleigh Quennec scored to put the game out of reach.

There were 11 penalties throughout the contest, with the Carabins guilty for seven of those. Despite the time with the extra skater, the Gaels could not find the back of the net.

UP NEXT
The Gaels will have another exhibition matchup next weekend when they travel to Montreal for a meeting with the Western Mustangs. Game time is set for Saturday, September 22 at 1:00pm.
