Gaels fall to No.4 Carleton but look ahead to OUA Playoffs

OTTAWA, Ont. (Saturday, October 20, 2018) -  The Queen's Gaels (9-6-1) suffer a 4-0 road loss in their final game of the regular season against the No.4 Carleton Ravens (13-1-1).
 
GAME FLOW
The Ravens found the first goal in the 25th minute of the first half, starting the Gaels on a defensive breakdown that carried on throughout the rest of the game. The Gaels made three shot attempts in the first half. Michael Chang (Mississauga, Ont.) received the first of many yellow cards this game in the 45th minute.
 
The Gaels were unable to regain defensive momentum after the first half and the Ravens continued to control the lead. In the 46th minute, the Ravens scored a second goal, extending their score. Milosh Stojanovic (Ottawa, Ont.) received the second yellow card of the game in an aggressive battle for possession.
The Gaels battled to hold Carleton in their own half but failed to prevent the Ravens from making another offensive attack. Zachary Toupin (Winnipeg, Man.) and Raven's player Jimi Aribido both received yellow cards in the second half of the game.

In the 76th minute Carleton scored again, making the score 3-0 and only 5 minutes later, the Ravens scored again making the score 4-0. Three more yellow cards were passed out to Ravens players in the last 15 minutes of the game.
 
Great efforts made by Charlie Purcell (Comox, B.C.) for attempting 2 shots, and Alex Jones (Comox, B.C.) for making 14 saves in this incredibly tough game.
