KINGSTON, Ont. – (September 30 2017) The Gaels take a tough 3-0 loss against the Ryerson Rams on home turf at Richardson Stadium.
GAME FLOW
The Gaels started the game off strong with several shots on goal from
Jacob Schroeter (Ottawa, Ont.),
Kyle Owens (Whitby, Ont.) and
Kwame Addai (Calgary, Alta.). The men unfortunately were unable to find the back of the net, but kept the score at 0-0 until the 33
rd minute of the game. The Ryerson Rams stacked on the pressure with the first goal and continued their momentum on throughout the half.
The Rams took the first two yellow cards of the game for Misel Klisora and Sean Fafinski in the 31
st and 34
th minutes of the game. The Rams later scored the second goal of the game off of a penalty kick in the 42
nd minute to end the first half with a score of 2-0.
Starting out the second half, Tonko Becelic (Mississauga, Ont.) was awarded a yellow card of his own in the 47
th minute of the game. The Tricolour picked up the intensity but it wasn't enough to put a goal on the score board.
The Gaels struggled to gain momentum and Ryerson continued to capitalize on scoring opportunities. The Gaels ended the game with a 3-0 loss to Ryerson.
