KINGSTON, Ont. (August 17, 2017) - The Queen's men's soccer team returned to the pitch to kick-off their 2017 season with a non-conference exhibition game against the visiting Concordia Stingers.
The only goal of the match came midway through the second half as Serge Habis was able to beat the Gaels keeper
Alex Jones putting the visitors ahead.
Queen's did have an opportunity to equalize late in the match as they were awarded a penalty kick but the Stingers keeper Cameron Rae was able to get a piece of the shot attempt and hang on.
The Gaels will look to rebound this weekend when they travel to London, Ontario for the annual Old Four tournament against Toronto, McGill and Western. Queen's opens up Saturday at 2 pm against Toronto and will meet either McGill or Western on Sunday.
