PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (February 3, 2017) - The Queen's Gaels (9-5) were able to keep pace in the OUA East with a 3-1 win over Trent (0-11) on the road Friday night.

The newest OUA team and still in search of their first league win, the Gaels had the advantage before the first serve but the home team didn't make it easy. Queen's was lead on the night by 
Dylan Hunt (Aurora, Ont.) who finished with 11 kills and 15.5 points. Queen's was able to come away with the first set in a close 25-19 battle.
In the second set, Trent turned on the pressure. The Excalibur had a strong game from Reggie McLean who totaled 14 kills and 17 points and helped take down Queen's in the second set 25-19.
After the Gaels won the third set, despite committing 11 attack errors and posting their worst kill percentage of the match, they were able to close out the match in the third with a 25-21 victory.
Zac Hutcheson (Kingston, Ont.) was a strong performer throughout the match finishing with a game-high six service aces. 
Jamie Wright (Kingston, Ont.) added 28 assists and dug up eight balls on the defensive side.
