OTTAWA (October 7, 2017) – The Queen's Gaels (4-5-3) battled it out but came up short with a 2-0 loss against the No.4 Carleton Ravens (10-1-2) on Saturday afternoon.
GAME FLOW
The men had a slow start as the Ravens took an early lead with a goal in the 7
th minute of the game. The Gaels struggled to pick up the intensity and find scoring opportunities but maintained their defensive efforts to end the half with a score of 1-0.
The Gaels tried to step up their game in the second half but were matched by the Ravens. The tricolour gave their best efforts to keep Carleton from extending their lead but a goal from Gabriel Bitar put the Ravens up 2-0.
The men continued to push the ball up field but were unable to find the back of the net. Goal keeper 
Alex Jones (Comox, B.C.) had several fantastic saves and with the help of the defence the Gaels limited the Ravens at 2-0 to end the game.
