HAMILTON, Ont. (January 21, 2017) – The Queen's Gaels dropped their second game in as many days on Saturday evening, falling to the U SPORTS No. 10 ranked McMaster Marauders 87-75 at Burridge Gymnasium.
GAME FLOW
Jesse Graham (Kingston) tallied a game-high 25 points, shooting 10-of-14 from the field, while picking up four rebounds and three steals.
Sukhpreet Singh (Toronto) and
Tanner Graham added 15 points a-piece , and
Russell Winters (Long Island, N.Y.) tallied eight points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Gaels, who drop to the .500 mark (6-6) for the first time this season. David McCulloch scored 25 points to help the Marauders improve to 7-6.
After going down by as many as 25 points, the Gaels put together a fourth-quarter comeback wherein the Gaels went on a 20-2 run to come within six points of the McMaster advantage at the midway point of the final period, capped off with a three from Singh. The Marauders recovered, however, putting together an 11-1 run soon after to restore their lead for good.
The Gaels shot 45.8% from the field, compared o 45.6% from the Marauders, and both squads tallied 34 rebounds.
