WATERLOO, Ont. (September 4, 2016) - The Gaels earned a 71-17 victory in their season opener on the road against the Waterloo Warriors Sunday afternoon.

The Gaels enjoyed tons of time in the try zone this Labour Day weekend, scoring often throughout the match.
Kainoa Lloyd (Mississauga, Ont.) led Queen's offensive efforts, scoring four tries for 20 points. At the half, the tricolour were already up 45-7.
In the second half, the Gaels were just as relentless. Rookie
Evan Underwood (Toronto) put 15 points up on the board for Queen's with three tries.
Dylan Young (Toronto) and
Mason Dingwall (Ottawa) shared kicking duties, converting five and three times, respectively.
Evan Curd (Toronto),
Nicholas DeLallo (Ottawa), and
Mihai Rusu (Aurora, Ont.) contributed a try apiece in the win.
