OSHAWA, Ont. (September 10, 2016) - The No.6 Gaels suffered their first loss of the 2016 season at UOIT in a 1-0 decision.
GAME FLOW
Queen's started the game with plenty of offensive pressure, but missed the net on their first three attempts, all inside the first five minutes.
Matija Skoko (Toronto) found the target in the 12th minute, but the Ridgebacks keeper Helen Frampton made the first of three saves on the day. UOIT scored the game's only goal in the 33rd minute from Kylie Bordeleau, with Jessica Mithrush picking up an assist.
In the second half,
Laura Callender (Ottawa) and
Brittany Almeida (Kingston, Ont.) recorded shots on target, but Frampton was there again to maintain the clean sheet.
Gaels keeper
Madison Tyrell (White Rock, B.C.) made nine saves in the loss.
