KINGSTON, Ont. (October 22, 2016) - Six players for Queen's got on the scoresheet in as the tricolour defeated RMC 45-19 in the final game of the regular season on Saturday, and earned a bye through the first round of the OUA playoffs as a result.
The Gaels were in familiar territory for what was supposed to be a road game. After heavy rain made RMC's grass field unplayable, the match was moved to Queen's Nixon Field.
GAME FLOW
For the third game in a row, the tricolour broke the 40 point barrier and more than doubled up their opponents.Â
Alex Colborne (London) played a standout game for Queen's for the second week in a row. In addition to kicking five conversions for the Gaels, Colborne also scored one of his team's seven tries on the day.Â
In his first game back from playing with Canada 'A' in Uruguay,
Kainoa Lloyd (Mississauga, Ont.) was the only man on the field to score two tries.Â
Rounding out the Gaels scorers were
Matthew Geisler (Toronto),
Nicholas DeLallo (Ottawa), and
Ben Bethune (West Vancouver, B.C.), who all scored one try each.Â
