OTTAWA (August 30, 2015) - The Gaels (0-1-1) were defeated Sunday afternoon 3-2 by the Carleton Ravens (1-0-0) in Ottawa.GAME FLOWThe Ravens opened up the scoring in the match taking a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute. The Gaels responded with a goal from Brittany Almedia (Kingston, Ont.) in the 23rd to even up the match. The team continued their strong play getting another goal from fifth year player
Jessie de Boer (North Vancouver, B.C.) to take a 2-1 lead heading into half-time.
The Ravens came out in the second half and took the play to the Gaels scoring a goal in the 56th minute to even the match and added another goal in the 73rd minute to go in front of Queen's 3-2. The Gaels weren't able to finish any of their scoring chances in the final 15 minutes of the game.
Madison Tyrell (White Rock, B.C.) got the start for Queen's making six saves.
