The Queen's women's soccer team returns to the pitch on Saturday August 29th when they travel to Ottawa to face the Ottawa Gee-Gee's to open their 2015 regular season. This is a rematch from last season's OUA quarter-final where Ottawa won 1-0 to eliminate the Gaels. Queen's will be looking to start the season off with a win over the Gee-Gee's which is something they could not accomplish last season.

The Gaels will be looking to regain their top position in the OUA as well as CIS this upcoming season, after earning OUA / CIS medals in the five straight years before last year's elimination in the quarterfinal. This year's Gaels lineup includes returning CIS All-Canadian Jessie de Boer (North Vancouver, B.C.), OUA East All-Star Brittany Almeida (Kingston, Ont.), starters Micah Vermeer (Grimsby, Ont.) and Laura Callender (Nepean, Ont.). The veterans will be a strong complement to a dynamic first year class.

Over the past six years, the Queen's women's soccer team has accumulated one OUA Championship, two OUA Silver Medals, two OUA Bronze Medals, one CIS Silver Medal and were back-to-back CIS National Champions. They will be looking to get back to their national championship form this upcoming season.
