WINDSOR, Ont. (February 14, 2015) - The No.5 women's hockey team wrapped up their OUA regular season Saturday night on the road, defeating the Windsor Lancers 5-2.

Addi Halladay (North Augusta, Ont.) opened the scoring on the powerplay just over one minute into the game for Queen's. The Lancers responded with a powerplay tally of their own on a goal from Erinn Noseworthy. The Gaels regained their advantage as captain
Shawna Griffin (Redwood Meadows, Alta.) deposited her 12th on the season.
Both sides continued to capitalize on powerplay opportunities as they exchanged tallies with the man advantage.
Nadia Larocca (Mississauga, Ont.) put the Gaels ahead 3-1 before Windsor's Candace Kourounis cut the deficit in half.
Queen's put the game out of reach in the final frame as
Clare McKellar (London, Ont.) collected her seventh of the season before Griffin added her second of the night.
Final shots for the night totalled 38-37 in favour of Queen's.
Caitlyn Lahonen (Sharon, Ont.) started in net for the Gaels, earning the 35 save victory while Marissa Kozovski of the Lancers suffered the 33 save loss.
The No.5 Gaels sit tied for third place in the OUA division as they finish the season with a 16-5-3 record.
