KINGSTON, Ont. (October 31, 2015) - The Western Mustangs defeated the No.4 Queen's Gaels in the OUA bronze medal match 20-10 on Saturday afternoon at Nixon Field in Kingston. It marks the second straight year that Queen's has lost to the Mustangs in the OUA bronze game having lost in London last year.

GAME FLOW
A rematch from the previous year's bronze medal match it was Western in control early in the game. Danielle Spice finished off a 25 metre run with the games first try and after a failed conversion it was 5-0 Mustangs. From there, the Mustangs scored two more times before the end of the half and went ahead 15-0 sitting comfortable after the opening half of play.

The Gaels put together a strong series in the early minutes of the second, first it was Emma Chown (Barrie, Ont.) finishing off a 25 metre run for a try and 12 minutes later she broke through the Mustangs defence once again with a 20 metre run cuting the Mustang lead down to 15-10.

Western came through  just four minutes later though as Jesse Strong put down a try from two metres out and the Mustangs held on for a 20-10 win to take the OUA bronze medal.
