GUELPH, Ont. (October 24, 2015)- The Queen's Gaels women's basketball team ended their weekend road trip with a 78-62 victory over the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday evening at the W.F. Mitchell Centre.

After the Gaels built a seven-digit lead before halftime, the women increased the lead to double-digits in the third quarter, as they maintained their offensive consistency throughout all 40 minutes of play to earn the victory in their final preseason tune-up.

The women close out the preseason with a 7-4 record overall (4-3 on the road, 3-1 at home), and will open their conference schedule on Saturday, November 7 when they host the York Lions at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC). Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m
