Gaels play to scoreless draw with UOIT, stretch unbeaten streak to five

BOX SCORE OSHAWA, Ont. (October 16, 2015)- The Queen's Gaels women's soccer team improved their unbeaten streak to five games on Friday night against the UOIT Ridgebacks, drawing their OUA East rivals 0-0.

GAME FLOW
Goalkeepers Madison Tyrell (White Rock, B.C.) and Helen Frampton each recorded three saves to earn their respective clean sheets. With the tie, the Gaels remain two points back of both the Ridgebacks and Laurentian Voyageurs for second place in the OUA East division. Queen's is currently tied for fourth place with the Carleton Ravens, and sit two points up on the Toronto Varsity Blues, who are clinging onto the final playoff spot heading into the homestretch of the regular season.

UP NEXT
The women will head to Peterborough, Ont. on Sunday afternoon to take on the Trent Excalibur, who come into the match-up with an 0-11 record thus far in the fall campaign. Queen's closes out the regular season next weekend when they play host to the Nipissing Lakers and Laurentian Voyageurs at Miklas-McCarney Field.
