BOSTON, Mass. (September 27, 2014) - The women's hockey team lost their second exhibition game of the weekend after being shutout 3-0 by Boston University.

Mary Coughlin (Amherstburg, Ont.) led all Queen's skaters with six shots on goal, but the Gaels could not find the back of the net, as all three Terriers goaltenders contributed to the 32 save shutout. Caitlyn Lahonen (Sharon, Ont.) started in net for Queen's, registering 28 saves on Saturday afternoon. Final shots for the game totalled 32-31 in favour of the Gaels.

Boston opened the scoring in the final minute of the first period with a power play goal from Kayla Tutino. The Terriers would add to their lead in the second with back-to-back tallies from Maddie Elia. 

The Gaels return to action next Saturday when they battle the Brock Badgers on the road in the final game of the preseason.
