OSHAWA, Ont. (September 27, 2014) - Eric Koskins (Richmond Hill, Ont.) of the men's soccer team buried a goal in the 82nd minute to help the Gaels earn a 1-1 tie against the UOIT Ridgebacks. 

The first half of the match was highlighted by strong defensive play from both squads as neither team could find the back of the net. Gaels keeper Max Materne (Toronto) registered five saves in the half while his counterpart Travis Martin collected three. 

The Ridgebacks were able to open the scoring in the 75th minute of play on a goal from Erik Petrovic. The Gaels knotted the score seven minutes later on Koskins' second goal in as many games. Queen's would eventually settle for the draw, despite outshooting UOIT 12-3 in the second half. 

The Gaels return to action tomorrow afternoon when they take on the Trent Excalibur at 3:15 p.m. on Miklas-McCarney field.
