Gaels Fall 1-0 Against No.9 Carleton

OTTAWA (November 7, 2014) - The men's hockey team was shutout for the first time this season, falling 1-0 against the No.9 Carleton Ravens in Ottawa on Friday night.

Michael McNamee collected the lone tally of the night in the first minute of the final frame. Final shots for the game totalled 33-21 in favour of the Ravens.

Goaltender Kevin Bailie (Belleville, Ont.) started in net for the Gaels, collecting 32 saves in the loss, while Patrick Killeen of the Ravens earned the 21-save shutout.

Last season the Ravens defeated Queen's in their OUA East best-of-three second round matchup in the playoffs 2-1, tonight marked their first meeting since the Gaels playoff exit.

The Gaels (4-4-0) are set to return to action Saturday night when they battle their cross-town rivals RMC (0-8-0). Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30pm at the Memorial Centre.
