Queen's took an early lead but strong offense from Lakehead allowed for the Thunderwolves to overtake the Gaels and control the match.
Emily Hazlett (Fredericton, N.B) and
Liz Boag (Kingston, Ont.) led the Gaels, each scoring 19 points and Hazlett grabbing six steals. Still early in the season, under 2013-14 OUA East Coach of the Year

Shannon Hopkins (North Vancouver, B.C.) led the scoring for Queen's with seven serving aces and 15 kills. The Gaels had a rough start on Sunday with 10 errors in the first set but they managed to turn things around in the second set leveling the score at 21-21 before the Gee-Gees managed to pull away taking the last two sets. Â
Caroline Livingston (Kelowna, B.C.) was the most efficient Gael in her limited playing time, hitting four kills on seven total attacks, while also picking up a service ace and four digs.Â

Philippe Goyer (Ottawa) and
Mike Tomlinson (Stratford, Ont.). Goyer had a game-high of 17 kills, while Tomlinson had 11 kills and two serving aces. Queen's will look to pull the upset against the No.8 Gryphons who currently hold down the top spot in the OUA and then knock-off a Waterloo team that will be looking for redemption from last weekend.
