Sukhpreet Singh (Toronto) picked up a team-high 19 points for the Gaels.
Greg Faulkner (Kingston, Ont.) recorded a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Gaels losing effort.
After hanging around in the first half and going into the break down 48-42, Queen's fell out of the game with a strong third quarter from York.
Richard Iheadindu of York led all scorers with 26 points, including four makes from beyond the arc. Nick Tufegdzich represented the Lions well on the boards with a game-high 17 rebounds.
Queen's continues the second half of their OUA season next weekend when they play host to No. 4 Ryerson on Friday and Toronto on Saturday. Both games tip-off at 8pm.
