No. 10 Gaels snap losing-streak with shutout at Concordia

BOX SCORE MONTREAL (January 18, 2014) - Patrick McGillis (Calgary) powered the No. 10 Gaels passed Concordia with a pair of goals Saturday afternoon on the road, snapping the Gaels three-game losing-streak with the 4-0 win.

Queen's scored early and often, netting all four tallies in the first period. Corey Bureau (Amherstview, Ont.) opened the scoring four minutes into the game for Queen's. Jordan Coccimiglio (Burlington, Ont.) picked up his second assist of the game a shorthanded goal by Joey Derochie (Sudbury, Ont.). McGillis buried his first just a minute later, also shorthanded, before scoring again on the powerplay just before the first period expired.

Chris Clarke (Fall River, N.S.) picked up the shutout win, turning away all 24 of Concordia's shots. Antonio Mastropietro stopped 22 shots in the loss.

The Gaels play their third consecutive road game on Tuesday against RMC.
