NORTH BAY, Ont. (September 15, 2013) - The No. 2-ranked Gaels strong performance against Nipissing University came just short this afternoon as they tied the Lakers 1-1 in North Bay.

Queen's took the lead early on when
Brittany Almeida (Elginburg, Ont.) scored the first goal of the game for the Gaels in the sixth minute. It looked like Queen's was going to pull out a win when Renee Clarke of Nipissing scored an equalizer in the eighty-seventh minute of play. The game ended with a score of 1-1 with the Gaels taking seven more shots than the Lakers on net.

The Gaels record is 4-0-2 as they take the field at home next Saturday against the Ryserson Rams (1-4-0) on Saturday September 21.
