BOX SCORE WINDSOR, Ont. (November 9, 2013) - The Queen's Gaels (2-2) fell to the No.2 ranked Windsor Lancers (3-1) 82-56 on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre in Windsor.
Â
In one of the toughest road trips of the season, the Gaels travelled to Windsor to play the Lancers after a tough loss to the Western Mustangs Friday night. The Gaels came out strong with an early lead of 15-11 in the first quarter. Queen's kept pace with the defending CIS champs up until half, only trailing the veteran team 34-26 at the break. The relentless Lancer defensive pressure picked up in the third and fourth quarter causing the Gaels to accumulate 27 turnovers in the contest. 34% shooting from the floor in the second half was not enough to keep Queen's in the game, leading to the final score of 82-56.
Â
Jenny Wright (Kingston, Ont.) led Queen's with a team high 14 points. Jessica Clemencon of the Lancers finished the game with her first double-double of the season scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 boards.

The Gaels travel to Waterloo next weekend to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks (3-0) Friday night and the Waterloo Warriors (1-2) Saturday night.
