BOX SCORE KINGSTON (November 29, 2013) - The Gaels gave the No. 8 Gee-Gees a scare in the ARC main gym Friday night after winning the second set to tie the match at a set apiece, but ended up losing 3-1: 25-18, 22-25, 29-27, and 25-17.
After tying the match, the Gaels had one set-point opportunity in the third to give them a 2-1 lead, but the Gee-Gees showcased their talented offense to comeback and win the set 29-27.
Myriam English for Ottawa was the standout player in the game, putting away 24.5 points on 17 kills, seven service aces, and an assisted block, while also contributing 11 digs.

Katie Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) was the top point-getter for Queen's with 13.5, including seven kills, five assisted blocks, two solo blocks, and two aces. The Gaels defense was led by
Brett Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) and
Shannon Hopkins (North Vancouver), with 17 and 14 digs, respectively.
Stephanie Theiler picked up 18 digs for Ottawa, and Kelsie English had 17 digs of her own.
Queen's heads into the 2014 calendar year at 5-4, and will resume action on January 11th and 12th when they host Waterloo and Guelph.
